Degree Concentration
in Addictions and Substance Abuse Counseling

 

The Department of Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling offers a concentration in Addictions and Substance Abuse Counseling that may lead to a graduate certificate.  Any student may elect to pursue a program of specialization in this area. 

The Addictions and Substance Abuse counseling program is approved by the Certification Board for Addictions Professionals of Florida (CBAPF Approved Provider #179A).

  • RCS 6459 Substance Abuse II (3)
  • RCS 6930 ST: Substance Abuse Counseling (3)
  • RCS 6930 Approved Electives (Chose one) (3)

    o   Obesity and Eating Disorders

    o   Spirituality and Counseling

    o   Introduction to Mind and Body Techniques

    o   Employee Assistance Program

    o   Principles and Practices of Personal Change        

  • RCS 6803 Practicum (3)
