Position Announcement:  Assistant Professors

The Department of Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling at the University of South Florida is seeking two assistant professors to begin employment in August of 2010.  These are nine month, tenure-track positions which will entail research, teaching and service in a Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE) accredited Master of Arts program.  Graduates receive the degree:  Master of Arts in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling.

Minimum qualifications are a doctorate in rehabilitation counseling or closely related area, masters degree in rehabilitation counseling from a CORE accredited graduate program in rehabilitation counseling, and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor credential or eligibility for the credential.  Applicants not having the CRC credential will be required to obtain it within one year of employment.  ABD applicants must have earned doctorates by August 7, 2010.

Preferred qualifications are a record of or potential for successful scholarship, grant writing, and graduate level teaching in rehabilitation counseling and/or mental health counseling, and licensure or eligibility for licensure as a mental health counselor or psychologist in Florida, and applied experience.

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.  Additional summer employment is possible, but not guaranteed.  Applicants must apply for these positions through the on-line employment application system Careers@USF:
